Andrea Lonardi MW is the new CEO of Marilisa Allegrini's wineries. The entrepreneur's newly founded group includes the wineries Villa della Torre in Valpolicella, Poggio al Tesoro in Bolgheri and San Polo in Montalcino. Marilisa Allegrini only announced the new company structure in spring 2024 following the redistribution of the family estate. The children of her late brothers Franco and Walter Allegrini will retain the historic winery in Valpolicella, which will now continue to operate under the name Allegrini Wines.
"Lonardi has 360° experience in management, which he gained in renowned wineries. Now, as CEO, he will bring this to my new project and support my daughters Carlotta and Caterina in building the brand," says Marilisa Allegrini.
Andrea Lonardi had previously worked as Chief Operating Officer at Bertani in Verona for almost twelve years and surprisingly handed in his notice in March. He was appointed Master of Wine in 2023.
