The VDP wine estates Robert Weil *****, Battenfeld-Spanier **** and St. Antony **** have presented a joint wine from two growing regions. The Riesling "Unser Aufbruch" 2021 is available for the first time. It consists of equal parts Riesling from the VDP.Grossen Lagen Gräfenberg from Robert Weil (Rheingau), Frauenberg from Battenfeld-Spanier and Hipping from St. Antony (both Rheinhessen). "From our point of view, 'Unser Aufbruch' is much more than the sum of its parts," says Dirk Würtz from St. Antony. "The result is an independent top wine that builds a bridge between the Rheingau and Rheinhessen."

The three wineries agreed on the project in summer 2021. The idea behind "Unser Aufbruch": "Together into the future: living and enjoying in the post-corona era." The label designed by the well-known artist Bernd Zimmer with the image "Constellation" represents for the winegrowers a "departure into a new exciting cosmos in which we stand together in solidarity". The wine is sold exclusively by the online supplier Tesdorpf. As only 360 bottles were filled, no price is given. Purchase is only possible on request.
