The Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival in Eltville am Rhein, planned for 25 February to 14 March 2021, is cancelled due to the continuing Corona restrictions. This was announced by the organiser. The events are to take place in 2022 between 24 February and 13 March. In terms of content, the festival with all events is to take place as planned. The list of participating chefs and winemakers will also remain. "All events that have now been cancelled will take place in 2022 with the same content, on the same day of the week, the date will be shifted by one digit," says organiser Hans B. Ullrich. "For a long time we hoped that we would be allowed to reopen the gastronomy from mid-February. We had already sold more than 3,000 tickets in November, many events had been fully booked for months."
