The young French winemaker Émile Coddens from the Touraine region has become a star on the social network TikTok with more than 300,000 followers and almost four million likes. The 23-year-old is the second winemaker at Domaine Plou & fils with 75 ha of vineyards. In his first video under the pseudonym Le.Vigneron, which he posted after the Corona lockdown in September 2019, he explained why spitting is one of the most important aspects of tasting wine. In the meantime, he briefly and humorously explains his work in the wine cellar to TikTok users, explaining in a generally understandable way, for example, how to open a wine bottle properly and showing the surroundings.

Before the lockdown, he often took over the guided tours of the winery, which were also attended by many school classes. With the lockdown, he downloaded the TikTok app onto his mobile phone and began filming himself at work.
