The German Wine Institute (DWI) has selected wines from all 13 quality wine regions for the so-called "Germany Box". This is intended to give professionals the convenient opportunity to taste typical representatives of all growing regions side by side in order to familiarise themselves with the profile of the regions. It is also intended to train their own sensory skills. Around 4,000 DWI training participants take advantage of the programme every year. A total of 173 producers took part in the competition. The winning wines were selected by a jury in a blind tasting. The jury consisted of sommelier Justin Leone and the German Wine Professionals Wolfgang Dieckmann, Jasmin Priller, Lukas Sermann and Guido Seyerle. The wines were judged according to both their quality and their typicity.

- Ahr: 2022 Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir dry, Weingut Sonnenberg
- Baden: 2020 Pinot Noir "Ballrechten Dottingen Castellberg" dry, Kiefer-Seufert winery
- Franconia: 2022 Hergolshäuser Silvaner dry, Uwe Geßner winery***
- Hessische Bergstraße: 2022 Heppenheimer Roter Riesling "Terra Starkenburg", Bergsträßer Winzer eG**
- Middle Rhine: 2022 Riesling "Bopparder Hamm Feuerlay" Spätlese semi-dry, August Perll winery
- Moselle: 2021 Riesling "Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr" Spätlese semi-dry, Dr Leimbrock winery**
- Nahe: 2022 Riesling "Schlossböckelheimer In den Felsen" dry, Hexamer winery
- Palatinate: 2021 Riesling "Ruppertsberg Reiterpfad" Spätlese dry, Dr Josef Köhr winery
- Rheingau: 2021 Riesling "Kirchenstück Im Stein VDP.Grosses Gewächs" dry, Domdechant Werner'sches Weingut***
- Rheinhessen: 2022 Scheurebe dry, Stenner winery
- Saale-Unstrut: 2022 Pinot Blanc "Bereich Schloss Neuenburg" dry, Freyburg-Unstrut Winegrowers' Association
- Saxony: 2023 Schieler "Der Rosa Schuh" dry, Schuh wine family
- Württemberg: 2020 Lemberger "Hebsacker Lichtenberg VDP.Erste Lage" dry, Jürgen Ellwanger winery***
The wines will be bottled in 0.1 tasting bottles and provided with a neutral-tasting and odourless protective gas to protect them from oxidation. The boxes are expected to be available from February 2024.
