Gruppo Dosio from La Morra takes over the historic Coppo winery in Canelli, whose underground cellar vaults have been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2014. Dosio CEO Gianfranco Lanci is one of the world's most successful Italian top managers and has made IT history over the last 40 years at hardware manufacturer Acer. Lanci sees the takeover as an opportunity to pursue "smart farming". In this way, he wants to harmonise the rhythms shaped by nature with the technological innovations available today. The Coppo family will continue to be responsible for wine production. Mainly Barbera, Moscato d'Asti and Metodo Classico as well as Gavi and Barolo are produced on 52 hectares.
