Antinori

Antinori was voted "the most prestigious winery in the world" by industry trade magazine Drinks International and is the first Italian wine name to receive this award. The jury, made up of Masters of Wine (MW), sommeliers, wine buyers, journalists and other industry experts, was "impressed by Antinori's consistently high quality". Second place went to the 2020 winner, Catena Zapata from Argentina, with Penfolds from Australia taking third place. The vote was held in the 13th year since the competition's inception.

Shay Waterworth, editor of Drinks International, said, "The World's Most Admired Wine Brands is an elite club, and an authority on the most admired brands in the industry. To be awarded a place on this prestigious list is a serious achievement. What makes the list so prestigious is the geographical spread and independence of our academy, whose composition we also keep changing to ensure a true representation of the global trade."

1 - Antinori
2 - Catena Zapata
3 - Penfolds
4 - Familia Torres
5 - Domaine del La Romanée-Conti
6 - Sassicaia
7 - Gaja
8 - Concha y Toro
9 - M. Chapoutier
10 - Ridge

Even though Europe occupies 32 of the first 50 places on the list, no wineries from Germany or Austria are represented on it. France makes up more than a quarter of the overall ranking, Spain made the list with eight names, Italy with seven.
