The WineParis & Vinexpo wine fair in Paris was opened on Monday, 14 February 2022 by the French Minister of Agriculture, Julien Denormandie (photo m.). Almost 2,800 exhibitors from 32 countries have registered, which is considerably less than before the Covid pandemic. The organisers of the three-day fair expect visitors from more than 100 nations. According to initial figures, almost 70 percent of the guests come from France, only about 30 have travelled from other countries. Most of them are professional buyers: according to the figures, about 77 percent of the fair guests work as importers, wine merchants, brokers, sales representatives as well as in gastronomy.
The fair's programme includes around 100 lectures on wine industry topics as well as many tastings and master classes.
