The distribution of wine colours of German quality and Prädikat wines has not changed from 2022 to 2023, as was erroneously reported in May. At the time, the German Winegrowers' Association (DWV) had stated in its statistics that the proportion of rosé wines had risen to 16 per cent and that of red wines had fallen to 18 per cent. The correction has now followed. Accordingly, the shares of wine colours are unchanged from 2022: white wine 66 per cent, red wine 21 per cent, rosé wine 13 per cent. According to the DWV, incorrect data transmission had led to incorrect total quantities of quality-tested red and rosé wines.
