The Italian wine journalist Alessandro Masnaghetti is publishing a book about the new official vineyards (UGA) of Chianti Classico for the first time at the end of September 2022. On 424 pages, professionals and wine lovers can dive into the depths of the Tuscan growing region. The "Chianti Classico Atlante" is the result of fifteen years of intensive and meticulous research and includes 180 detailed maps and a geological study. Vineyards of more than 400 wineries are marked, some of which are not even present on the market yet. The appendix contains a rich dictionary of place names and wineries with an updated list of the Chianti Classico wines they produce and the so-called UGA (unità geografiche aggiuntive) where they have vineyards. The book is complemented by eight tourist itineraries to discover the most fascinating corners of Chianti Classico off the beaten track.

Alessandro Masnaghetti is internationally known for his work as a "map-man" and has already published similar books on Barolo and Barbaresco in recent years. The book can be pre-ordered now from Masnaghetti's publisher Enogea, with shipping starting on 30 September 2022.
