The mild to summery spring temperatures in France have led to a significant growth of the shoots on the vines. Winegrowers in the Languedoc, for example, report a development that is two weeks earlier than last year. In Provence, growth has even progressed two to four weeks faster than in 2018, while in Beaujolais the shoots are only about one week further developed than average.
