The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB) is auctioning off more than 600 signs from Grand Cru and village appellations in Burgundy on 12 November. The vineyard signs have been renewed and the old ones can now be purchased by wine lovers or traders for decorative purposes.

The auction will take place on 12 November at the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne and will be broadcast live on the drouot.com and interencheres.com websites. The auction will include 29 Grand Cru labels, 280 labels from regional or village appellations, 280 "Bourgogne" labels and 280 round labels with the wine region's logo. The estimated prices are between 50 and 300 euros, although some of the signs are badly weathered.

All proceeds will be donated to the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne. This will be used to finance further exhibitions and conferences.
