The famous wine critic and author Hugh Johnson has participated in the English winery Sugrue South Downs. The operation led by Dermot and Ana Sugrue is among the most renowned producers of English Sparkling.
“My trust and hope in English wine goes back to the 1970s. Fifty years later, we are now reaping the rewards and selecting the winners. Dermot Sugrue's wines have been among the best for many years. He is a master of his craft, he gets straight to the point. I am pleased to now provide my financial support for his and Ana's future ventures,” commented Hugh Johnson on his decision.
“We could not be happier to have Hugh Johnson on board. This investment is the ultimate recognition for our wines,” said Dermot Sugrue. The exact amount of Johnson's investment remains unknown.
