On 24 and 25 August, top wineries invite you to the SaarRieslingSommer tasting event on the Saar. The wine-culinary opening ceremony will take place on 23 August at the Van Volxem wine manufactory. On the following days, 16 wineries from Serrig to Konz-Filzen will open their cellars from 12 noon to 6 pm and present their wines together with around 30 guest winemakers from Germany and abroad.
The following wineries are taking part: Würtzberg and Schloss Saarstein in Serrig, Dr Wagner and Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken with Peter Lauer in Saarburg, Margarethenhof in Ayl, Bocksteinhof in Ockfen, Weinhof Herrenberg in Schoden, Van Volxem and Bischöfliche Weingüter (Scharzhof) in Wiltingen, von Hövel and Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt in Oberemmel, Peter Johann Mertes, von Othegraven and Cantzheim in Kanzem as well as Piedmont and Reverchon in Filzen.
Guest winemakers from the Saar, Ruwer and Mosel as well as from other German regions, such as von Winning from the Palatinate and Meyer-Näkel from the Ahr, are also waiting at each stop. There are also wineries from Luxembourg, Champagne, South Tyrol and Portugal. A shuttle service will conveniently take visitors from one winery to another.
Tickets for the opening event can be booked directly at the Van Volxem winery. Tickets for the tasting on 24 and 25 August are available online.
