Reh Kendermann and Rewe bring the first German Piwi wine to a supermarket shelf. The wine is a nationally listed Cabernet Blanc in food retail, whose grapes come from the Palatinate. As a project wine, it represents the cooperation of retail (Rewe), research (Weincampus Neustadt), winegrowers and the Bingen winery. The "PiWi Cabernet Blanc" costs 4.99 euros at Rewe.

The wine was not only produced in an environmentally friendly way, but also in a "sustainably responsible way along the value chain", according to a statement by Rewe and Reh Kendermann. The bottle is made of resource-efficient lightweight glass and the paper of the label is partly produced from grape marc.
