On 29 and 30 April 2024, the "Biodynamic Wine Fair" will open its doors for the first time at the Alte Postlager in Mainz. More than 60 biodynamic wineries from all over Europe will be presenting their wines. "There will be characterful biodynamic wines, sparkling wines and other natural products from all over Europe to discover," says Demeter winegrower Andreas Roll, one of the initiators of the fair.
Retailers, sommeliers, restaurateurs and journalists can also delve deeper into the history and philosophy of biodynamics, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, in masterclasses and lectures. Speakers include Dr Georg Meissner, Romana Echensperger MW and maître and sommelier Gerhard Retter.
The event is organised by Demeter in partnership with the Biodyvin and respekt-BIODYN associations. Tickets are already available.
