To celebrate its 300th anniversary, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou ***** is auctioning off a number of rare large bottles, old vintages and even two barriques from the 2022 and 2023 vintages. These treasures from the estate's reserve will go under the hammer at the Bagherawines auction house on 23 June. Among the 4,200 bottles that will be auctioned off in 603 lots are two Melchiors (18 litres) from the 1985 and 2010 vintages, an Impériale (six litres) from 1989 (estimated price 1,500 to 3,000 euros) and a particularly rare Babylonium (27 litres) from the 1982 vintage (estimated at 40,000 and 80,000 euros). Further Babyloniums and other large formats will be offered in "Celebration" collections from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. The barrique from 2022 is estimated to be worth between 45,000 and 90,000 euros, the one from 2023 between 38,000 and 76,000 euros.

The oldest bottle in the auction from the 1887 vintage has an estimated price of between 2,000 and 4,000 euros. Wines from 1911, 1926 and 1945 are also on offer. All the wines come from the château's cellars and have never been moved.
