The "MoselJünger" winegrowers' association is once again organising the "Mythos Mosel" tasting event this year. From 24 to 26 May 2024, Riesling fans can get to know renowned wineries and up-and-coming wineries from the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer. A number of guest winemakers from the Luxembourg and French Moselle will also be taking part.
The event will kick off with the "Mythos Mosel 2024" celebration on Friday, 24 May at the Moselschlösschen in Traben-Trarbach. Over the following two days, 124 producers will be offering their wines for tasting at 31 stations along 25 kilometres of the Middle Moselle from the wine villages of Ürzig to Briedel from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm. On Saturday, 25 May, there will also be a series of evening events with live music.
Hosts include the wineries Karl Erbes in Ürzig, Schmitges in Erden, Hüls in Kröv, Villa Huesgen in Traben-Trarbach, Immich-Batterieberg in Enkirch, Melsheimer in Reil and Clemens Busch in Pünderich. Guests include Lauer, von Hövel and Hofgut Falkenstein from the Saar, Maximin Grünhaus and Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt from the Ruwer, the Bischöfliche Weingüter and Vereinigte Hospitien from Trier, Carl Loewen and Loersch from Leiwen, Ansgar Clüsserath from Trittenheim, Haart from Piesport, Willi Haag from Brauneberg, Max Ferd. Richter from Mülheim, Markus Molitor from Bernkastel-Wehlen, Kallfelz from Zell, Kilian Franzen from Bremm and Fries and Richter from Winningen.
Those who are particularly interested in young and lesser-known producers can taste wines from "young talents" at three stations in Kröv, Kinheim and Lösnich.
The organisers are organising a shuttle service that visitors can use at any time to move between the tasting stations. Tickets are available in advance at www.mythos-mosel.de. Tickets can also only be purchased online during the event and not on site.
