The French government is providing 90 million euros for the Ecophyto initiative to halve the use of pesticides in viticulture by 2030. The main aim is to support the transition to alternative pesticides, which many producers consider to be risky. She called on interested parties to register for projects. In particular, companies In Focus that are in a position to support many winegrowers in the long term, such as cooperatives. However, the call is also aimed at suppliers of agricultural inputs and "trustworthy third parties". These include research and educational institutions as well as advisory and inspection organisations. The government also wishes to involve insurance companies and public bodies such as water authorities or municipalities.

The Ecophyto programme is set to begin in the first half of 2025. It also promotes the use of artificial intelligence to record, collect and share information on best practices. All projects must propose measurable targets to reduce environmental impacts, including an explicit and quantified commitment to reduce the use of pesticides.
