Bordeaux and Bergerac are probably among the most diverse wine regions in France. Affordable wines with high ratings are produced here. Discover the wines produced by the oenologists of the EVV association in the south-west of France!

Saint-Émilion, Margaux, Pessac-Léognan, Graves, Côtes de Bourg, Monbazillac, Cadillac, Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur, Côtes-de-Bergerac, Limoux, Pécharmant, Montravel... From Bordeaux to Bergerac, a multitude of protected origins and terroirs open up. The two wine-growing regions of south-west France are among the most diverse in the country.

The vineyards of the Bordeaux region lie close to the French Atlantic coast on both banks of the Gironde, the confluence of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers. Further east, the Bergerac region stretches inland along the Dordogne. And among the wines produced in both regions, there are some real highlights: growths that are highly rated by renowned critics and competitions such as wein.plus and are affordable at the same time.

The dedicated oenologists of the "Ensemble de la Vigne au Vin" (EVV - "All from Vine to Wine") association present these highlights at the unique event "Les Faces Cachées de Bordeaux et Bergerac " ("The Hidden Faces of Bordeaux and Bergerac"). The successful premiere took place in June 2023 with 80 winegrowers, 130 wines presented and 40 industry experts.

Join EVV's teams of experts and their clients, the "creators of new gems", for the second edition of the event at the gates of Bordeaux: on 27 June 2024 in Latresne!

EVV has been supporting wine producers for over 30 years with the expertise of its teams. This includes viticultural technicians and consultant oenologists as well as packaging specialists. Rooted in the wine landscape of the French south-west, EVV has set itself the goal of being the benchmark for change in viticulture in the region in a constantly changing environment.

Eight wineries that work with EVV have had their wines tasted and evaluated by wein.plus. These "hidden faces" include rosé wines, white wines, sweet wines and red wines from various vintages.

Here are the detailed tasting notes, sorted by wine colour:
