A masked perpetrator wearing a cowboy hat has emptied 19,000 litres of white wine from two tanks at Sparkman Cellars in Woodville (US state of Washington). The winery suffered a loss of 600,000 US dollars as a result. The perpetrator had used an employee's door code to gain access to the wine cellar. The surveillance camera recorded the crime and filmed the person leaving the building while the wine flowed out of the steel tanks. The owners did not discover the damage until two days later when the employees returned after the Thanksgiving holiday. The Woodville Police Department is investigating the unidentified person.
