The team from Italy is the world champion in blind tasting of wines for the first time. The final of the twelfth edition of the "World Tasting Championship" took place at Château Dauzac in Margaux. With 39 participating teams, a new record was set. Seven countries participated for the first time: Malta, Singapore, Ireland, Turkey, Belarus, Canada, Poland, Latvia, and Hong Kong. Latvia scored 136 points in its first participation, securing fifth place.

In the final, the teams had to identify twelve blind-served French and international wines (six white wines and six red wines) (Link to the list of wines). Ten points were awarded for the grape varieties, five points each for the country of origin and the appellation, and three points for the correct vintage. Italy took first place with 168 points, ahead of Switzerland and Taiwan, both with 140 points. Japan finished fourth with 138 points after leading until the fifth wine. Luxembourg, the winner of 2022, landed in 13th place. The French team, which was considered the favorite with its three titles (2014, 2019, 2020), fell back to 28th place. Germany finished in tenth place with 120 points.
