Winemaker Franz Wehrheim**** from Birkweiler will take over the chairmanship of the VDP Pfalz. He succeeds Hansjörg Rebholz**** from Siebeldingen, who has led the association for 25 years and will be officially bid farewell in Wachenheim on 28 June. Wehrheim had already held the position of Deputy Chairman for several years. His new deputies will be Andreas Rings***** from Freinsheim and Hans Rebholz from Siebeldingen.
"It is a valuable legacy that we are taking on and we will do our best," said Franz Wehrheim in a statement from the association. Important tasks for the future include raising awareness of a profession that works with nature and lives from it. He also wants to campaign for the preservation of the cultural landscape of wine and draw more attention to the craft of wine.
