The first "Geisenheim Wine Tourism Conference" will take place on 3 May 2024. The conference, organised by Prof. Dr Gergely Szolnoki, will examine trends and the future of wine tourism with a focus on mobility and sustainability. Not only wine enthusiasts, but also more and more so-called "secondary tourists", who want to experience the atmosphere in wine-growing regions, are drawn there. Motorhome pitches on wineries are attracting more and more campers as a target group.

German and international speakers will report on motorhome holidays to wine, setting up and marketing caravan pitches on wineries, dealing with booking platforms as well as sustainability and biodiversity in wine tourism. The opportunities opened up by the new project 'wein.plus:places - The European Wine Travel Guide' will be explained by wein.plus founder Utz Graafmann in his presentation on 3 May at 11.20 am.

The conference is intended to offer players from the wine and tourism industry the opportunity to network. Registration is now open and lunch is included if you register by 20 April. The programme is available here.
