Fabrizio Dosi (left) is the new CEO of Marchesi Frescobaldi. He succeeds the long-standing managing director Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja, who will remain a member of the group's board of directors. 54-year-old Fabrizio Dosi has held a management position at the company since 2019 and will now be responsible for all Marchesi Frescobaldi Group brands. These include Ornellaia***** and Masseto in Bolgheri, Tenuta Luce**** in Montalcino, Domaine Roy & Fils in Oregon, Attems in Collio and the Frescobaldi wineries in Tuscany: Castello Pomino (Pomino), Castello Nipozzano**** (Nipozzano), Tenuta Perano**** (Gaiole in Chianti), Tenuta Castiglioni (Montespertoli), Tenuta CastelGiocondo**** (Montalcino), Tenuta Ammiraglia (Magliano in Toscana), Remole (Sieci), Tenuta Calimaia (Montepulciano) and Gorgona.
Dosi has a degree in economics and began his career as a management consultant at Gemini Consulting. This was followed by various positions in large fashion groups until he moved to the coffee company Illy in 2012. "The world of wine has always fascinated me and is an important economic and cultural driver for Italy," said Fabrizio Dosi on his arrival.
