The VIP guests at the home international matches of the German Football Association (DFB) will be offered a new German wine assortment in the next two seasons.

For this purpose, the German Wine Institute (DWI) and the DFB have repeatedly and covertly tasted more than 300 wines that were sent in after a call for entries. Ten white wines, six red wines and four sparkling wines were selected. They will be served in the future in the VIP areas at the home matches of the women's and men's national teams and the men's U21 team as well as at the DFB Cup finals in Cologne and Berlin.

Sommelier Jens Pietzonka and his team will also present an extended range of wines at a wine and sparkling wine bar at selected matches of the men's and women's national teams.

VIP guests will be able to taste the new wines and sparkling wines for the first time on 8 September at Germany's U21 international against Ukraine at the Ludwigsparkstadion in Saarbrücken. This will be followed the next day at the men's national team's season opener against Japan in Wolfsburg.
