The Campanian wine entrepreneur Daniela Mastroberardino (right in the picture) has been elected the new president of the Italian association Le Donne del Vino. The export manager of the Terredora winery in Montefusco (Avellino) succeeds Donatella Cinelli Colombini, who held this office for seven years. She will be assisted by deputy vice-president Francesca Poggio (Piedmont) and vice-presidents Marianna Cardone (Puglia) and Paola Longo (Lombardy). Daniela Mastroberardino was born in 1968 and began her career in the family business in 1992. Today, the Terredora estate comprises 180 hectares of vineyards producing some of Campania's most renowned wines.

"The future will be one of continuity. The Donne del Vino association is the mouthpiece of Italian wine women and takes care of all the issues in the wine industry that are currently being discussed: Culture and advertising, training, internationalisation. But I am equally sure that we will modernise because there is no continuity without a touch of discontinuity", Daniela Mastroberardino said after her election.

Le Donne del Vino is the largest association of wine women in the world. It was founded in 1988 and today has 1018 members, including women winemakers, restaurateurs, wine merchants, sommelières and journalists.
