At this year's VDP.Auktion Réserve in Kloster Eberbach (Rheingau), wines worth 305,768 euros were auctioned. A total of 3,619 bottles went under the hammer, including rarities such as a bottle of Schloss Johannisberger Riesling Beerenauslese from 1915, which changed hands for 9,600 euros. Above all, collector's crates and large bottles were able to achieve record prices, such as the Methusalem "Monte Vacano" from the VDP winery Robert Weil (*****) for 10,001 euros. The Hochheimer Kirchenstück Riesling-Vertikale from the VDP winery Künstler found a new owner for 940 euros.

A world record price was achieved in the charity auction of a 12-litre bottle of Riesling "Unser Aufbruch" from the three wineries Robert Weil (Rheingau), Battenfeld-Spanier (**** ) and St. Antony (****) (both Rheinhessen). The Balthazar bottle was auctioned for 31,500 euros. The proceeds will be donated in equal parts to the organisations "Freunde helfen! Konvoi für die Ukraine", the "Der VDP.Adler hilft e.V." for the reconstruction at the Ahr and the "STOA169"-foundation" of the artist Bernd Zimmer from Polling (Upper Bavaria). He had also designed the label of the bottle.
