The Franconian Winegrowers' Association has elected a new presidium in Iphofen. The 67-year-old President Artur Steinmann was confirmed for another four years. He has represented the interests of the Franconian wine industry in this position since 2009 and was now re-elected for the fourth time. He emphasised that Franconia is the first and so far the only winegrowers' association in Germany that is also recognised as an industry association.

Steinmann announced that he wanted to use the next four years in office to raise the profile of the protected designation of origin (PDO) Franconia. The association had left the German winegrowers' association in 2021 after the discussions about the new wine law.

Horst Kolesch and Andreas Oehm were confirmed in office as vice-presidents. Frank Dietrich, managing director of Winzer Sommerach, and Daniel Scheinhof of the Kohlmann-Scheinhof winery will replace Bruno Kohlmann and Wendelin Grass, who are retiring.
