After a three-year break due to Covid-19, the Berlin Wine Fair has proven its reputation as Germany's largest public wine fair: 21,000 visitors came to "Station Berlin", the capital's listed Postbahnhof railway station, from 16 to 18 February. Over 220 exhibitors from 14 countries offered wine, spirits and delicacies. These included suppliers from German-speaking countries, the major European wine nations, Eastern Europe, the Balkan Peninsula and overseas.

The day with the most visitors was Saturday with more than 11,000 wine enthusiasts. There was a colourful mix of visitors on all three days: curious young people tasted their way through the range on offer at high frequency. After the tasting, epicureans bought individual bottles as well as cheese, sausage and ham and enjoyed them together in the food area. Long-standing regular visitors to the fair were once again able to order their annual supply of wine from the winegrowers, some of whom have been there for years. Many exhibitors took part in the fair for the first time and were also satisfied with the response from the public.

"Our target was 20,000 visitors to build on the success of previous fairs. We even exceeded that," explained Peter Antony, Managing Director of Deutsche Wein Marketing (DWM). The company launched the wine fair in 1993, and in 2024 the event was organised jointly with wein.plus for the first time. After the successful comeback, Antony is vindicated in his choice of cooperation partner: "We will hopefully continue this collaboration for a long time to come." The date for the Berlin Wine Fair 2025 will be announced in good time.
