The winery F.W. Langguth Erben in Traben-Trarbach (Mosel) has been registered for takeover by the Zimmermann-Graeff & Müller (ZGM) winery in Zell (Mosel) with the Federal Cartel Office. With a turnover of 84 million euros, F.W. Langguth is one of the ten largest German wine bottlers and most important branded wine producers. The winery is supplied by more than 1,000 German winegrowers and co-operatives. However, the well-known brands "Blue Nun", "Erben", "Himmlisches Moseltröpfchen" and "Medinet" have recorded declining sales figures in recent years.

ZGM achieved a turnover of 116 million euros in 2023 and has belonged to the French group Grands Chais de France (GCF) since the previous year, as has Weinkellerei Hechtsheim (88 million euros turnover in 2023). If the antitrust authorities give their approval, the takeover could be completed on 30 April.
