The 26-year-old young winemaker Robert Wimmer is the winner of Austria's most popular young winemaker competition and can thus call himself "Wine Talent 2023". In the high-calibre final of the "Schlossquadrat Trophy" organised by Österreich Wein Marketing (ÖWM) and the Schlossquadrat gastronomy businesses, he prevailed in a jury and public vote against Markus Preschitz, Alexander Artner, Florian Bauer, Patrick Kerner and Gerhard Deim. wein.plus was also a partner of the event this year. Among other things, all finalists receive a one-year business premium membership from wein.plus.

Robert Wimmer has been running the 12-hectare winegrowing business together with his parents in the 4th generation since 2018, true to his motto: "Quality is created in the vineyard. The manual harvest and careful vinification in the cellar are reflected in the glass". After graduating from the viticultural school Klosterneuburg, he gained important experience during his internships in Austrian wineries as well as in New Zealand. In addition to the glass Schlossquadrat Trophy, he won numerous non-cash prizes.
