The ProWine Shanghai trade fair will be postponed by two weeks to 20-22 November due to rapidly rising infection figures. The original date of 8 to 10 November 2022 could not be kept due to the Shanghai city's covid prevention policy, organisers said. The venue for the fair will remain the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). ProWine Shanghai is considered the leading wine and spirits fair in mainland China and has had great international resonance over the past ten years. More than 400 exhibitors from around 20 countries are expected.

At the beginning of October, infection figures rose to the highest level since July, according to local media. According to reports, administrations have already imposed frequent lockdowns on streets and high-rise buildings in recent weeks. Residents are no longer allowed to leave their flats.
