18 friendly family wineries on the German-Luxembourg Moselle have joined forces to form the 'Vision Mosel' initiative for the cultivation of Piwi grape varieties. The idea of the wineries is to be "ready for the viticulture of the future" with Piwi varieties. The wineries want to demonstrate the sustainability and diversity of flavours of varieties such as Cabernet Blanc, Sauvignac, Calardis blanc, Souvignier gris and Muscaris under the slogan #piwilicious. "These exciting new 'hero wines' will enrich the wine world with their flavourful diversity and can save the world," reads the press release. On 17 and 18 March 2024, the "Vision Mosel" wineries will present their Piwi wines together for the first time in Traben-Trarbach.

The members include the Staffelter Hof, Günter Gindorf **, Reuscher-Haart ***, Bio-Weingut Hoffmann, Stephan Steinmetz, Louis Klein and Dr Frey ** wineries.
