Marius Berlemann will take over as Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf from August 2024. He succeeds Erhard Wienkamp, who is retiring at the end of July. Berlemann has already been employed by Messe Düsseldorf for 13 years in various functions and is particularly well known in the wine industry. The 38-year-old worked for ProWein as Senior Project Manager and set up the first ProWine China in 2013. From 2014 to 2019, he was Project Director for ProWein in Düsseldorf and also Global Head Wine & Spirits. ProWein is now once again Berlemann's area of responsibility in the Wine & Spirits portfolio.
Big tasks await Berlemann. After years of crisis and declining visitor numbers, ProWein must reposition itself and sharpen its competitive edge vis-à-vis Vinexpo in Paris.
