Champagne is the most traded wine category in terms of both value and volume in the first half of 2023, according to the international wine trading platform Liv-ex (London International Vintners Exchange). According to the figures, there is still great demand, although the Liv-ex Champagne 50 index has fallen by as much as 10.4 per cent in this period.

According to the figures, the most traded wine was Dom Pérignon 2013. Bollinger La Grande Année 2014 and Louis Roederer Cristal 2008 and 2014 are also among the ten most sought-after wines according to the number of bids placed from January to June, Roederer Cristal 2014 and 2015 are among the five most expensive and at the same time most traded wines in this category.

A Champagne was also represented among the ten wines with the greatest price increase in the Liv-ex 1000 index: Jacques Selosse Millésime 2009 saw its market price rise by 43.1 per cent, but was last traded below the market price of almost 19,000 euros per case.

The most searched wines in the first half of the year on Liv-ex were Tignanello 2019, Sassicaia 2019, Château Cos d'Estournel 2016, Bollinger La Grande Année 2014, Tignanello 2018, Château Lynch-Bages 2019, Louis Roederer Cristal 2008 and 2014, Château Mouton Rothschild 2016 and Château Pontet-Canet 2010.
