The Konsortium Südtirol Wein has elected a new board of directors. Andreas Kofler was confirmed in office as President (Kurtatsch Winery) and Martin Foradori (Hofstätter Winery) as his deputy. After the election, Andreas Kofler, Klaus Pardatscher, Georg Eyrl and Philipp Plattner as well as Oscar Lorandi will represent the Association of Winery Cooperatives on the Board of Directors. Martin Foradori, Alois Clemens Lageder and Peter Zemmer were confirmed as representatives of the wineries of South Tyrol. The same applies to Stefan Vaja of the Free Winegrowers of South Tyrol, who are also represented on the Board of Directors for the first time by Hannes Andergassen.
Together they will continue the projects they have started over the next three years. Priority will be given to the topics of sustainability, a vineyard concept and a new headquarters for the consortium. "A major focus is, of course, the consistent implementation of the South Tyrol Wine Agenda 2030, which shows us the way to a sustainable future along the entire value chain," says Andreas Kofler. "After all, we want to guarantee consumers not only the quality of our product, but also the quality of production."
"Unique terroirs, selected grape varieties for these sites and a further reduction in harvest volumes will raise the quality of South Tyrolean wines to an even higher level in the coming years," said consortium vice president Martin Foradori.
The Konsortium Südtirol Wein is the umbrella organisation of all important associations and institutions of the South Tyrolean wine industry and has been the central point of competence in wine matters since 2007. Among other things, it has introduced the Südtirol Wein brand.
