English wine writer Jancis Robinson (MW) has sold the website she founded in 2000. She says jancisrobinson.com had reached a size "that was difficult for our small team of 17 to manage - especially from a technical and administrative perspective." The buyer is Recurrent Ventures, an American digital media investor based in Miami. The company currently owns 17 digital media brands covering science, technology, automotive, lifestyle, sports and home furnishings, as well as the culinary website saveur.com. Robinson plans to continue as editor-in-chief and focus on wine tasting and travel. The purchase price was not disclosed.
