Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is taking a stake in the champagne house Telmont in Damery, which belongs to the Rémy Cointreau group. According to the company, DiCaprio was particularly convinced by the environmentally friendly way of working for his participation.

In 2017, Telmont received organic certification for part of its vineyards. By 2025, the Champagne house wants to convert all further of its own vineyards to organic cultivation and plans to support its grape growers in achieving full certification by 2031.

"Champagne Telmont has set itself the goal of ensuring a fully sustainable production cycle in the coming years," Leonardo DiCaprio said, explaining his commitment. Champagne Telmont is "determined to radically reduce its environmental footprint, from protecting biodiversity on its vineyards to using 100 per cent renewable electricity".

DiCaprio's involvement with Telmont is limited to financial investment, according to him.
