The public-private scholarship programme "Deutschlandstipendium" will be continued at Geisenheim University. In the 2022/23 funding period, 45 students currently receive a monthly amount of 300 euros, half of which is financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and half by a private sponsor. The support is intended to guarantee more educational equity, especially in economically difficult times. At the handover ceremony in November, the scholarship holders were able to exchange ideas with the 31 companies, associations, societies, foundations and private individuals who are committed to the Geisenheim students.

"We are pleased that we were able to keep the number of scholarships stable compared to previous years. The continuous commitment of our sponsors also shows the importance that practice-oriented education in the green sector, the food and beverage industry, has for our society," said Prof. Dr. Alexander von Birgelen, Vice President Teaching at Geisenheim University.
