From Monday, 11 May, inns, cafés and restaurants in Lower Saxony may reopen. However, restrictions will apply, said State Economics Minister Bernd Althusmann (CDU) in Hanover. A maximum of 50 percent of the available seats in inns and also outside in beer gardens may be occupied. In addition, there is to be a continuous reservation requirement. A further opening of the gastronomy is possible from 25 May on. Bars and discotheques, however, will remain closed until further notice. The decision is to be made on Wednesday, May 6, after the federal government's consultations with the states. Further details are not yet known.
