On behalf of the German Wine Institute (DWI), the market research institute Wine Intelligence, which specialises in the wine industry, will present how Covid-19 has changed the behaviour and attitudes of wine drinkers in a webinar on Tuesday, 17 November at 11 am. In addition, the market researchers will give an outlook on future developments in the drinking habits, purchasing behaviour and lifestyle of wine drinkers.

The background is that in many key markets wine continues to be one of the "winners" of the pandemic, as consumers are discovering wine consumption in the private sphere for themselves due to the restrictions in public life.

According to the DWI, the webinar is based on current data from Wine Intelligence surveys of wine drinkers in Germany, the UK, Sweden, the USA, Canada, China and Australia from August 2020. This data is compared with surveys from March 2020 as well as March 2019. The data basis was condensed into twelve central trends, which will be presented and discussed in the webinar. In addition, the German Wine Institute will provide the corresponding Wine Intelligence Report ("Wine Consumer Trends in the COVID-19 Era", October 2020) free of charge. Interested parties can register online at the German Wine Institute.
