A group of cyclists from the wine industry will cycle 200 km through Burgundy on 9 and 10 May to raise money for the hospitality industry, which has been hit by Covid. Up to a hundred cyclists will take part in the "Bike to Care in Bourgogne" charity event, including chefs, sommeliers, winemakers and journalists. The meeting point is in Beaune on Monday morning. From there, they will ride more than 200 km through the hills of the Côtes de Beaune and the Côtes de Nuits.

Twelve teams from different countries are present, including Denmark, Canada, France, Great Britain and the USA. Among them is also a team from the renowned Harlan Estate from Napa Valley. In addition, a team from Burgundy with the winemakers Guillaume d'Angerville, Pierre-Yves Colin, Thibault Gagey, Dominique Lafon, Benoit Riffault, Jacques Seysses, Charles Van Canneyt and Bertrand de Villaine will start. So far, the initiative has already raised 170,000 euros. The aim of the campaign is to raise 200,000 euros for the struggling gastronomy and to support the next generation of chefs and sommeliers.
