At the second conference on regenerative viticulture in Penedès, Spain, on Monday, 9 May, viticulture experts, winegrowers and scientists will discuss the need for a paradigm shift in vineyard management as well as principles of regenerative agriculture specifically for viticulture. The speakers from Spain, the USA, Argentina and South Africa will report on their findings and experiences and impart know-how. In this way, they want to support winegrowers who have already embarked on this path or who want to do so in the future.

The event, which is promoted by the Association for Regenerative Viticulture with the support of the city of Vilafranca del Penedès and the government of Catalonia, is aimed at winegrowers, farmers, winemakers, oenologists, sommeliers and anyone who is committed to the fight against climate change.

The lectures can be followed online via email after free registration.

The Association for Regenerative Viticulture, founded in 2021, aims to promote change in the management of Spanish vineyards in Spain. The focus is on the carbon cycle and how it can be used to regenerate soils, prevent erosion, promote biodiversity and combat climate change.
