Coravin has introduced two flexible dispensing systems for use in restaurants, bars and hotels. According to the manufacturer, the Coravin Pro Reserve and Select system is cheaper to purchase and easier to operate than previous models. This means that service staff can pour the wine faster and with less loss. According to Coravin, it can be used in just a few seconds. In addition, according to the company, the inert gas capsules used contain around 30 per cent more argon, which should reduce the replacement frequency.
The new Select system was developed primarily for cheaper everyday wines and works with the Pivot Pro system, which is also new. It can be used with all types of closures and bottle shapes for still wines and has not yet been available in the trade. It will be available through trade partners from about 240 euros net.
