The VDP winery Künstler from Hochheim am Main leases the vineyards Erbacher Marcobrunn and Hattenheimer Pfaffenberg from the estate of Paul Graf von Schönborn. Von Schönborn closed his vineyard in the Rheingau a few months ago and has now found another tenant for his sites. Gunter Künstler can thus expand his portfolio in the Rheingau by two top sites. The Erbacher Marcobrunn is a once internationally renowned Große Lage in the middle Rheingau, and the five-hectare Hattenheimer Pfaffenberg was previously the monopollage of Schloss Schönborn. Künstler already cultivates several Große Lagen in the Rheingau, such as the Assmannshäuser Höllenberg in the west and the Hochheimer Hölle on the eastern edge.
