Chianti sales are on the rise again compared to the rather weak previous years. The Chianti consortium presented current figures at the "Chianti Lovers" event in Florence. Thus, the Tuscan appellation has recorded an increase of eleven per cent in the period up to 30 April 2021 compared to the same period last year and an increase of nine per cent compared to the first four months of 2019.
"These figures are excellent news for our consortium", President Giovanni Busi comments on the positive development. For the president of the consortium, the main goal is to return to international trade fairs as soon as possible. Contact with customers is fundamental to further accelerate growth.
