The municipality of Barbaresco has opened a permanent photo exhibition in honour of its most famous winemakers. The 39 black-and-white pictures by photographer Max Rella are made of weather-resistant material and now adorn the village's landmark, the Torre Medievale. The exhibition aims to pay tribute to the personalities who have made Barbaresco internationally famous. It will continue inside the tower in the rooms of the Museo Cavazza, but with other images of the producers projected in colour onto the interior stone and brick walls. The small village of only 600 inhabitants that gives its name to the Barbaresco appellation is home to 41 wineries.
