The 63rd International DWV Congress from 4 to 6 November 2018 in Stuttgart will be held under the motto "Viticulture 4.0". Integrated into the international agricultural technology trade fair "Intervitis Interfructa Hortitechnica", the congress programme will include numerous events.

The focus will be on the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation during the production process and in marketing, as well as on risk management with a view to the consequences of climate change for viticulture. Other conferences will deal with wine, tourism and architecture, ecological viticulture and wine marketing. The German Raiffeisen Association (DRV), the Association of German Rural Youth (BDL) and the Professional Network for Women in the Wine Industry (VINISSIMA) will organise their own events. The programme will be rounded off by the practice-oriented machine demonstrations "Experience Technology Live", the tasting zone "Taste Technology" and the special show "Drones and Robotics".

"The essential aim of the congress is to organise the international exchange of information between science, practice and the machinery industry," says a press release from the German Winegrowers' Association (DWV), which is organising the congress events together with the Research Ring of German Viticulture (FDW), the Committee for Technology in Viticulture (ATW), the Association of German Oenologists (BDO), the Federal Association of Organic Viticulture (ECOVIN) and the German research and teaching institutes in the wine sector. The DWV-KOngress is under the patronage of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).
