The wine estate Château Quintus of the company Domaine Clarence Dillon takes over Château Grand-Pontet in St. Emilion. This makes Quintus one of the largest wine estates in St. Emilion with 45 hectares, 42 of which are planted with vines. The new estate is surrounded by three renowned Premiers Grands Crus Classe: Château Canon, Clos Fourtet and Beausejour Becot on the western plateau of St Emilion. The company also announced that it has appointed Mariette Veyssière as managing director of Quintus. Domaine Clarence Dillon was founded in 1935 and owns several renowned wine estates such as Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion and Château Quintus.
